Countdown!

I gave my talk to about fifty women today at the women's day/mini-retreat/whatchamacallit. It went very well. They gave me a beautiful appreciation gift--a round wooden box on a lazy susan frame that features picture frames all around its circumference. They also gave me a little framed copy of the theme for the talk: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it."

Doing the talk was a great way to meet more women from the area. The other great thing about finishing the talk is crossing one more service project off my slowly-diminishing list. I overcommitted myself a couple of weeks ago, so I have been waiting for the pain to pass as each task rolls around and disappears. :-) Only six more days until I am back to some kind of normal schedule.
