Stop the Runaway Conversation

I'm going to have to take a moment to plug this book. I don't know the author personally, but his work is a valuable resource for churches who wish to get rid of destructive talk and encourage people to build one another up with their words. My only quibble is that occasionally his suggested verbal responses to gossip are a little harsh. I'm going to try to come up with better options.

Stop the Runaway Conversation: Take Control Over Gossip and Criticism is by Dr. Michael Sedler. It's deeply-rooted in scripture, so it's not appropriate for a secular audience. For its intended purpose, however, it will work admirably.

In about two weeks, I'm going to co-teach a group study based on this book. I believe I will personally benefit from it, and I hope that others will as well.

Rosslyn,

I'm really enjoying your blog --very thought-provoking. Good luck with this study. It's so relevant.

You commented on my blog; I'd love for you to link to it from here like you asked --if you dare! =) We can be pretty goofy at times. May I put your link on mine?

Have a great weekend!

Thanks! It's always encouraging to have comments, particularly during this long wait to hear news from editors. When there's silence from the publishing world, communication with other writers becomes even more important.

And I'd be glad to have you link to me, too.
