I finally succumbed to peer pressure and established a real Facebook page. I can see why it would be easy to spend too much time fooling with all the little gadgets. Fortunately, I have too much to do right now to develop a serious Facebook habit.
I have to prepare for the class I will be teaching in a week. I'm a pretty experienced teacher, but this challenging subject matter (gossip/criticism) is definitely giving me food for thought as I consider how to establish boundaries for discussion. Two friends gave me some good counsel tonight, which will help. I have to remind myself that I can only do my best; after that, it's a leap of faith.
